Epitope Health teaches what published research and FDA labels say, and how strong that evidence is. It cannot know your situation, and nothing here is a diagnosis, a dose for one person, or a decision about whether a food, medicine or procedure suits one person. Those decisions belong with a licensed clinician who can examine you.

If a reaction is happening now, use epinephrine if it has been prescribed and call 911. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988, any time.

The name

An epitope is the small part of an allergen or germ that an antibody recognizes and binds. The Epitope mark is that moment: an antibody, in teal, holding its epitope, in amber.

Why it exists

People with allergies, and people facing surgery, are often given confident answers without being told how strong the evidence is. Epitope Health answers with a grade on every claim and a source behind every sentence, and leaves the decisions with the person and their clinician.

The clinical director

Dr. Jesus Recio is a practicing nurse anesthesiologist (CRNA) and doctor of nurse anesthesia practice. He sets Epitope's clinical standards, owns and approves the evidence library and the rules Para AI follows, and approves every patient-facing claim. He does not diagnose or prescribe for Epitope's services; licensed clinicians in a partner network will do that.

Anesthesia and perioperative care are his specialty. Allergy and immunology are not, so for the allergy guides his review is a generalist clinician's review, and the site says so. An allergist's review is a different thing, and this site does not claim it.

The standard

  • Graded evidenceEvery claim carries a grade from the kind of study behind it. How we grade evidence.
  • Verified sourcesEvery excerpt is checked word for word against PubMed, DailyMed or the original page, and checked again whenever the library changes.
  • Honesty about what is unknownEach guide has a section for what the research cannot answer yet.
  • Nothing sold that the evidence does not supportNo IgG food panels, mycotoxin panels, "leaky gut" programs or wellness peptides. The guides explain them honestly instead.
  • General information, never a verdict on one personNo guide says what one person has, gives a dose for one person, or gives a safety verdict on a food, medicine or procedure for one person.
  • Nothing about you is keptThis site has no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no trackers.
